Early Symptoms

This is one of the important bacterial diseases of cotton. शुरुआती अवस्था में पत्तियों पर दिखाई देने वाले छोटे धब्बों को ध्यान से देखें।

  • Small water-soaked spots may appear.
  • Later, the spots may become brown or black.
  • The spots often appear in an angular shape bounded by leaf veins.
  • Under severe infection, several spots may merge together.
  • In severe cases, leaves may dry up and fall.

Stem Symptoms

When the disease becomes severe, the following symptoms may appear on the stem:

🟤 Long Dark Lesions Long, dark-colored lesions may appear on the stem.
⚫ Stem Blackening Under severe infection, the stem may become dark or black.
🌱 Weak Branches Affected branches may become weak.
🖤 Black Arm Severe stem symptoms may be observed as the Black Arm symptom.

Boll Symptoms

Disease symptoms may also appear when the infection reaches the bolls.

🔴 Small Dark Spots Small dark-colored spots may appear on the boll surface.
📉 Affected Development संक्रमित टिंडे का सामान्य Affected Development हो सकता है।
⚠️ Boll Rot In severe cases, boll rot may develop.

Management

This is a bacterial disease. Do not consider ordinary fungal fungicides to be the appropriate treatment. Follow local agricultural expert recommendations according to the disease situation.

Do not leave infected plant debris in the field and maintain good field sanitation.

Look for these signs:
